Recitalist David Heah, Organist at St Peter’s Cathedral presenting a selection of repertoire useful throughout the liturgical year. Lunch to follow at the Alma Tavern.

A short formal demonstration of each organ followed by a chance for participants to explore the organ for themselves.

Saturday 17th June, 1.30-3.30pm: ‘Repertoire within Reach’ Workshop
St Peter’s Lutheran Church, 71 Cumming Street, Blackwood
Explore a range of easy repertoire with Graham Bell, Gina Dutschke and Morris Rieger from our committee, along with tips for performances on more limited instruments. Includes copyright information with some free sources as well as purchasing possibilities.
The venue is co-located with a school, a campus of Concordia College. Ample parking is available in the church/school grounds. Access to the site, which is on the corner of Cumming Street and Trevor Terrace, is suggested either from Brighton Parade (off Shepherds Hill Road), or Cumming Street (off Coromandel Parade).

Tuesday 25th July, 7.30pm: ‘Come and Play’ at Payneham Rd Uniting Church.
Here is an opportunity to have a play on the fairly recently refurbished 3 manual organ. Refreshments will be available giving an excellent opportunity to catch up with others in an informal manner.

Prof. Greg Crawford AM presents a full recital entitled ‘Diplacusis: Double hearing’, highlighting duplicates of music relevant to Lent sandwiched between two large Fantasias in C minor by Bach (BWV537 & BWV562)
Saturday March 26th: Organ Crawl in Plympton & Wayville.
We start at 10.30am at All Saints Uniting Church (on the corner of Mooringe Avenue and Marion Road). Other churches to be visited are Church of the Good Shepherd (Clayton Avenue Plympton) later in the morning and Wayville Baptist Church (on the corner of Forest Avenue and Oban Avenue, Black Forest) from 2pm.
Tuesday June 21st, 7.30pm Visit to St Cuthbert’s Anglican Church, 49 Prospect Road
During this visit members will be able to hear both the church pipe prgan and the small chamber organ (formerly located at St Christopher’s, Kilburn) played separately and also together in an antiphonal Toccata by two of our organ students who serve as church organists on alternate Sundays. Both organs will then be open for inspecton and open console. Members are encouraged to bring music, especially any suitable for chamber organ.

An afternoon of Harmonium/Pipe Organ music at St Augustine’s Church, 183 Unley Road, which will showcase pieces written originally for harmonium but now well-known as organ repertoire.
Sunday September 25th, 2.30pm AGM at Immauel Lutheran Church, 139 Archer Street, North Adelaide
There will be a student recital starting at 2.30pm, followed by the business meeting and then an informal time of refreshments.

A Baroque organ music workshop/masterclass led by Gina Dutschke, Principal Organist at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Adelaide.
Monday November 21st, 7.30pm, End our Year @ St David’s
Our final OMSA meeting for 2022 – come to St David’s (Glynburn Road, Burnside), bring along a favourite piece of music to play on the splendid two manual organ (37 speaking stops) and join in festive refreshments and fellowship afterwards (non-players very welcome).
